April's Photo/Journal:

April 3rd - Working during April showers. 
Mary's sides are beginning to take on a flowing shape.

April 9th ~ Summer has arrived! Ninety degrees!
Eric is sanding the back of Mary. 

April 30th - Mary is carved, but unfortunately, while sculpting it, Eric discovered 
that this stone is too soft to stand up to the elements outside. He has 
ordered another piece of marble from the quarry which should arrive May 8th.
He plans to carve another Mary for the outdoor sculpture for St. Paul's and find a home for this beautiful Mary, indoors or under shelter, at perhaps another church, somewhere.
